Acropolis

Acropolis replaces the new tab page in Chrome. Every new tab shows what’s next on your calendar, something worth rereading, and the sites you open most, without sending you through a feed first.

The page is built from cards you arrange yourself in two columns:

• Calendar shows your next Google Calendar event with a countdown, a Join button for video calls and directions when there’s an address, plus the rest of the day.
• Daily review brings in today’s highlights from Readwise, one at a time.
• Instapaper lists your three newest saves and links to the rest.
• Now playing appears when a tab plays music or video, with the artwork and a play/pause button.
• Note is a scratchpad with Markdown, links and checkboxes.
• Bookmarks are big tiles with sharp icons, and you can also show your browser’s bookmarks bar across the top, folders included.
• Clock and weather for wherever you are.

It also runs in Brave and other Chromium browsers, where everything works except the Calendar card, which relies on Chrome’s built-in Google sign-in.

Search goes to your default search engine, or to Google AI Mode, Claude, ChatGPT or Grok with one click. There are light and dark themes and nine accent colors.

Acropolis has no servers and no account. Everything it fetches comes straight from Google, Readwise or Instapaper to your browser, and stays there. The privacy policy has the details.
